Gina and Huy met some time ago in Texas, but work brought them both to DC 6 years ago. This was when I had the pleasure of meeting them. When they contacted me about photographing their wonderful pregnancy, I couldn't have been more honored and excited. They wanted to shoot at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. It was a great place to shoot, from its small lakes to the beautiful willow trees and bridges, it couldn't be more perfect.
When I met with them at the location, I could see Gina was glowing. She wore a beautiful blush colored dress and Huy had on a dark blue button up and black slacks rolled up at the ankle, very hipster. The pregnancy has been good to her and she was ecstatic about becoming a mother. The shoot was very easy, both Gina and Huy had no trouble being themselves and connecting with the camera. The sweetest part of the shoot was Gina and her interaction with baby Sawyer. She spent time during the shoot talking to him, rubbing her belly and laughing at his little kicks. You could see it was very natural for her, she was born to be a mother. I did everything to truly capture the genuine essence of Gina as a soon to be mother.
